Она подчеркнула, что ПСР может потерять курдских избирателей из-за ареста членов ДПН в рамках расследования по делу о протестах в Кобани, начатом шесть лет спустя. Пар указывает, что партия DEVA, которая была создана путем отделения от ПСР, все более активна в регионе. Вероятность потери ПСР своих «консервативных курдских» голосов увеличивается день ото дня в тот период, когда на повестке дня стоят такие обсуждения, как закрытие ДПН.
«В городах с большинством курдских избирателей ПСР была единственной партией, которая могла предоставить альтернативу ДПН. Утверждалось, что количество голосов ПСР в регионе может уменьшиться после создания Народного альянса, но правительственная партия не понесла серьезных потерь. Вероятно, это произошло потому, что курдские избиратели, чьи консервативные взгляды стоят перед курдской идентичностью, встретившие Эрдогана по исламской линии и, что более важно, выступающие против РПК, не чувствуют себя близкими к оппозиционному Национальному альянсу», – отмечает Кюбра Пар.
