Уволенный из полиции и вынужденный работать не по профессии Йурдал Гёкче погиб в результате несчастного случая – упал с крыши, 29 ноября 2021 года. Через месяц после смерти Комиссия по рассмотрению дел лиц, пострадавших от режима ЧП завершила рассмотрение дела Гёкче и восстановила его в должности на прежней работе в полиции.
