В Турции на фоне коронавируса увеличивается дефицит текущего счета и стремительно сокращаются валютные резервы. Дефицит текущего счета в марте достиг 4,9 млрд долларов. Валютные резервы сократились на 16,5 млрд долларов. При этом из Турции выведены 5,5 млрд долларов горячих денег.
Стремительное обесценивание турецкой лиры привело к возрастанию спроса на валюту. Чтобы удержаться ниже 7 лир Центробанк разрешил государственным банкам продавать дешевую валюту.
Официальные валютные резервы в марте сократились на 16 млрд 589 млн. лир. Дефицит текущего счета вырос до 4,9 млрд долларов в марте из-за резкого сокращения экспорта.
