Количество военных, отстраненных и уволенных из рядов ВС Турции с момента попытки государственного переворота 15 июля 2016 года по подозрению в связях или причастности к движению Гюлена, составило 24 256 человек, среди которых 150 генералов и 10 258 офицеров.
При этом после отмены чрезвычайного положения (OHAL) число уволенных с одобрения министра национальной обороны Хулуси Акара достигло 9360 человек.
По данным министерства национальной обороны, административный процесс продолжается для 1185 сотрудников ВС Турции.
