Евросоюзу необходимо сообща давить на президента Турции Тайипа Эрдогана, чтобы он не мог продолжать использовать мигрантов для своих политических целей, заявил во вторник канцлер Австрии Себастьян Курц.
Он отметил, что оказавшиеся сейчас на границе с Грецией, не бегут напрямую из Сирии в Грецию, а на протяжении нескольких лет живут в Турции. По словам Курца, Эрдоган намеренно организовал эту акцию: были предоставлены автобусы, мигрантов проинформировали.
“Президент Эрдоган в этой ситуации использует людей в качестве игрового мяча, оружия и средства давления на Европейский союз. Это недостойно и должно категорически осуждаться”, – сказал Курц.
Он подчеркнул, что в этой ситуации необходимы поддержка Греции и сплоченность в ЕС.
«Необходимо сообща надавить на Турцию, чтобы президент Эрдоган прекратил недостойное обращение с этими людьми и не мог дальше использовать мигрантов для своих политических целей», – добавил австрийский канцлер.
По его словам, нужно сделать все, чтобы повторения 2015 года не произошло.
