Турция занимает восьмое место в мире по количеству заключенных. Об этом заявил депутат парламента, представляющий оппозиционную НРП, Абдуллатиф Шенер.
Он отметил, что по численности населения США в четыре раза больше Турции, Китай в 17 раз, Бразилия в 2,5 раза, Россия в двое, а Индия в 16 раз.
«Вы говорили «мировой лидер». Здесь я понял, в чем мы лидеры. По количеству тюрем и заключенных», – сказал Шенер.
По словам оппозиционного депутата, правительство ПСР построило больше тюрем за всю историю республики.
«Нет ни одного пропущенного года. В 2014 году открыли 14 тюрем, в 2015 – 18, в 2016 – 38, в 2017 – 12, в 2018 – 15, в 2019 – 26, в 2020 – 18. Обещаете открыть 39 тюрем в 2021 году. В 2002 году было 58 тысяч заключенных, в 2019 их стало 291 тыс. 500», – отметил депутат.
