Напомним, группа сотрудников мэрии Стамбула провела акцию протеста перед главным зданием города. Проправительственные СМИ заявили, что акция носила протестный характер, мол сотрудники мэрии были недовольны избранием в мэры Экрема Имамоглу. Однако выяснилось, что руководство мэрии заранее распространило среди сотрудников объявление об обязательном участии в акции. Запись сообщения, разосланного по электронной почте, попала депутату парламента от НРП Мехмету Бекароглу.
Среди людей, участвовавших в демонстрации, привлек внимание один человек. Как выяснилось, это был директор пожарной части района Коджасинан Али Осман Айгюн, который принимал участие в предвыборной компании ПСР накануне муниципальных выборов 31 марта. Журналист издания Hürriyet Исмаил Саймаз, утверждает, что Айгюн проходил по делу о взяточничестве.
