Стоит отметить, что по аналогичным обвинениям в турецких тюрьмах в настоящее время содержатся более 10 тысяч женщин. Среди осужденных множество беременных. Многих из них возвращают в камеры даже после родов. Таким образом, в исправительных учреждениях находятся свыше 700 детей с матерями.
