18-ый суд Стамбула по гражданским делам сообщил, что адвокаты Резы Зарраба отказались защищать своего клиента.
Во времена, когда Реза Зарраб еще находился в Турции, бизнесмен инициировал ряд исков за клевету в отношении тех, кто его критиковал. Недавно одно из дел рассматривалось в 18-ом суде Стамбула по гражданским делам. Однако слушание закончилось быстро. Судья сообщил, что адвокаты Зарраба Шейма Цылдырым и Айтен Цылмаз отказались продолжать защищать интересы своего клиента.
Отмечается, что адвокаты бизнесмена подали самоотвод 19 февраля до рассмотрения дела в суде.
Ирано-турецкого бизнесмена Резу Зарраба в Турции объявили «изменником родины» после того, как он начал давать показания против турецкого банка в американском суде по делу об антииранских санкциях.
