Турецкий суд признал 74-летнего Абдуллаха Айдогана виновным и назначил 9 лет тюремного заключения. Приговор был оглашен после того, как пожилого мужчину освободили до суда через 9 месяцев после ареста по делу о попытке переворота 15 июля.
При этом Айдоган был освобожден до суда имея букет болезней, развывшихся в тюрьме: воспаление простаты, позвоночная грыжа, геморрой, гастрит, рефлюкс, кальцификация в колене и почке. Позже суд признал больного мужчину виновным и назначил меру наказания в виде 9 лет и 9 месяцев лишения свободы. Недавно Верховный суд удовлетворил решение суда первой инстанции. 74-летнего старика признали виновным в том, что он имел счет в банке Asya, выписывал газету Zaman, участвовал в добровольных поездках и благотворительности.
Депутат парламента от ДПН, правозащитник Омер Фарук Гергерлиоглу отметил, что 74-летний больной Айдоган скорее всего отправится в тюрьму. При этом правозащитник напомнил о недавней трагедии с Ибрагимом Акбабой, пожилым мужчиной, который скончался от сердечного приступа, давая показания суду. «Разве это не напоминает вам об ошибках?» – задался вопросом депутат.
